“You Make Me New” was introduced to our congregation March 8, 2020. Many thank you’s to my worship team and certain individuals who worked with me to hone in on the spirit of what was being created through song. You are amazing!
These are the verses of scripture that inspired the lyrics. I’ll post a full devo this upcoming Saturday morning if you’d like to dig a little deeper into what I was working through to create it.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland” Isaiah 43:18-19
“Do not fear…When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2
God is good, faithful, and true!
Here’s the link to the acoustic version we shared with our congregation to preview. And here’s the full band sharing it in our contemporary service for the first time. Enjoy, share with your friends and don’t forget to like and subscribe!
